Young war heroes, young partisans are those who were not afraid to risk their lives for the freedom and independence of their Motherland. They were young, but they had already consciously chosen the path of struggle against the enemy who threatened their native land.
These young
heroes did not have much experience or military skills, but they were
strong-willed and determined. They were ready to face any difficulties and
overcome any obstacles in order to protect their land.
On the night of
April 24, 1944, near the village of Mikhnovichi, Nikolai Goishik and his
comrade Alexey Savoshchik were supposed to destroy a German train going east on
the Moscow-Brest railway, which was heavily guarded. When his eighth echelon
was blown up, Nikolai Goishik died. As a result of the explosion, a locomotive
and 16 carriages with enemy equipment were destroyed, about 200 German soldiers
and officers were killed and wounded. At the cost of the life of Nikolai
Goishik, the railway was put out of action for 17 hours.
