On May 9, 2023, on the main holiday for the entire Belarusian people - Great Victory Day - the opening ceremony of Victory Square on Sovetskaya Street and the ceremony of lighting the Eternal Flame at the monument to fallen soldiers during the Great Patriotic War took place in Ivatsevichi.
During this time, Victory Square became not only a favorite place for city residents, but also, first and foremost, a symbol of memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Confirmation of this is the installation of the sculptural composition “In Memory of Burnt Villages.”
The grand opening of the monument will take place on a very symbolic day for our country - the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Khatyn Tragedy.
